Bastian Schweinsteiger has urged his Manchester United team-mates to build on
their performance against West Brom today.
After two back-to-back draws, Manchester United
managed to record a 2-0 win
over West Brom at Old Trafford earlier today, through
goals from Jesse Lingard and Juan Mata.
While Louis van Gaal’s men again struggled to create a
flurry of chances,
Lingard’s first goal for the club in the 52nd minute and
Mata’s penalty at the
death was good enough to seal the maximum points for the home side.
Other than a Saido Berahino chance in the 76th minute, Manchester United gave
another defensively solid performance and kept their
fifth clean sheet in a row in all competitions.
Great team performance! We want to build on that and
keep moving forward.
— Basti Schweinsteiger (@BSchweinsteiger) November 7,2015 Schweinsteiger is beaming after winning at Old Trafford earlier today and lauded
the teamwork that Manchester United displayed to get all the three points against Tony Pulis’ men.
He stressed that they need to build on the performance
and take it to their next game after the international break.
The Manchester United midfielder took to Twitter and
wrote: “Great team performance!
“We want to build on that and keep moving forward.”
Manchester United will travel to Vicarage Road to take on Watford after the international break.
